Abby, Caroline and Lee have been best friends since they were assigned as roommates freshman year of college. Despite living in separate parts of the country, the trio managed to stay close in the decades since graduation. For Abby’s 20th wedding anniversary, she invites the roommates and their families to celebrate on a cruise to Bermuda where she and her husband will renew their vows.

The best friends pick up right where they left off. However, the three women are silently struggling with different aspects of their lives, and none want to risk ruining the trip by discussing what’s going on – including one secret that will change everything,

I thoroughly enjoyed this read about friendships sustaining the test of time. I found each of the three women (and their families) incredibly relatable. I could envision this being my girlfriends and I later in life. It was also refreshing that each character felt real – they did not have perfect lives. Each woman made choices – about marriage, career or children, which shaped who they were as they embarked on the cruise.

Overall, this was a great vacation read. It was light and fun with some drama sprinkled throughout.

Verdict: Read it (4/5 stars)
Length: 307 pages
When: You’re in the mood for a story about friendship.
Quote: “If nothing else, remember to be amazed.”
Also read: Queen of Hearts by Kimmery Martin (B2C Review).
