The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory

You meet a cute guy while stuck in an elevator.  You share conversation, cheese and crackers.  By the time the elevator starts moving again, he asks you to be his date to a wedding the following night.  Do you say yes?   This is how Drew Nichols and Alexa Monroe meet.

Alexa and Drew are both workaholics – Alexa works as chief of staff for the Mayor of Berkeley, and Drew is a pediatrician in LA.  Yet, they are brought together in the most unexpected way, and both decide to go out on a limb.  Would you take the chance?

This novel was absolute magic; perfect for RomCom lovers (like me) – it was funny, flirty and smart.  Guillory knocked it out of the park with her debut novel.  I fell in love with both Drew and Alexa and flew through the pages.   I am hesitant to say much more and give anything away, but if you like this premise, I highly recommend you pick it up soon!

This is the perfect read to add to your summer list!

Verdict:  Read it (4.5/5 stars)
Length: 320 pages
When:  You’re in the mood for a Rom Com.
Quote:  “Keeping to the truth as much as possible was the best way to tell a lie.  She’d learned that after working in politics for awhile.”
Also read:  The Futures (B2C review) or Beautiful Ruins (B2C review)
