In the mood for a fun, flirty read? Fumbled by Alexa Martin may be the perfect fit for you!
Poppy moved across the country to Denver when she was sixteen, pregnant and virtually homeless after her parents kicked her out. Despite a difficult start, she found love and stability with her son, Ace, and her job as a waitress at a popular club. However, her normalcy is thrown into disarray when the father of her child shows up. Further complicating the situation, Ace’s dad is pro-football star TK Moore (and Ace doesn’t know it). Poppy must figure out how to reconcile her life before TK to her life after, including being a supporting girlfriend to his NFL career.
Poppy is independent, fun and funny. I would love to grab a glass of wine with her and think we would absolutely get along. She is a single mom but never once regrets the path her life took. Watching her struggle to let TK into her and her son’s life was genuine and relatable. I loved how she surrounded herself with strong female friends who pulled no punches in sharing their opinions.
This was a very fun read, perfect for lovers of the romance genre.
Verdict: Read it if you’re in the mood for a rom-com (3.5/5 stars)
Length: 336 pages
When: You love romance novels and are in the mood for something light and fun!
