Attention rom-com lovers (like me!), this is the MUST READ book of the 2018 Holiday season!!! This novel is Love Actually meets Serendipity meets Bridget Jones and so much more.
Laurie, a lost soul who isn’t quite sure where she fits in, spots the man of her dreams while on the bus one day in December. They lock eyes, there are sparks, and then the bus drives away. For a year, Laurie searches for this mysterious man. After throwing in the towel, she unexpectedly finds him under less than ideal circumstances: at her annual Christmas party, when her best friend Sarah introduces him as Jack, her boyfriend she thinks is “the one”.
Does she tell Sarah that Jack is “bus boy”? Or, does she keep this huge secret (and perhaps betrayal)? Does Jack remember her too or was this all in her head?
I absolutely LOVED this book. I am always a fan of a sappy romantic comedy, and this checked all of the boxes for me. Following Laurie, Sarah and Jack’s 10 year love triangle / journey was all the feels – frustrating, exciting, sad, happy. I had no idea how things would shake out. I highly recommend you pick this book up ASAP! One of my friends recently read the whole novel in a day!!!! This would make the perfect holiday movie – I am waiting Reese J
Verdict: Read it! Now!!!
Length: 416 pages

Quote: “You know how some events turn out to be the big stepping stones between one part of your life and the next? I don’t just mean the steps you intend to take, like leaving home or starting a new job or marrying the person you love on a summer’s afternoon. I mean the unexpected steps: the middle-of-the-night phone calls, the accidents, the risks that don’t pay off.”
