Why is it so difficult to pick up a book?
Reading is a huge time commitment. In a world of instant gratification, completing a novel typically takes over 7 hours of reading! You can watch an entire Netflix series in that time!
When jumping into a new book, our biggest fear is being stuck with a bad one. Trying to find the right book isn’t easy and scouring the Internet for suggestions can be a daunting task.
Amazon reviews are unreliable and professional critics are often incomprehensible. Don’t let a one star review from B00ksRKewl123 scare you off. Stop feeling overwhelmed by an overly detailed review discussing the literary merits of your next beach read.
Our goal with this book blog is provide short and sweet book reviews for all genres. We want to help you answer the most important question when deciding whether to read a book: Will you like it?
Our Story
Despite both growing up on Long Island (25 minutes away from each other), our paths never crossed, and our story instead began in Washington, DC. We met in college where we bonded over MTV and cheap vodka. Since then, we have graduated to marriage, great books and fine wine.
Reading has always been a hobby of ours, but we love helping our friends pick out the perfect book. This book blog is our latest experiment; we want to take our love for sharing books to the next level. We hope that we can help you find the perfect book for any occasion by providing short, to the point reviews as well as highlighting whether we think the book is worth a read.
